Sign Permits



All signs require a permit and final inspections. This includes off-premise signs, channel letter signs, building signs, pole signs, monument signs, etc.  Applies to new and old signs; erected, constructed or maintained so there are no obstructions to any fire escapes or means of egress, or obstruction to view traffic or hinder fire apparatus from entering and performing duties and to help maintain the visual integrity of our community. 

Sign installers must be registered with the City of Andrews . The sign permit application is available online. 

Pole signs are required to have a site plan for set backs and engineered drawings, and pole sign footings must be inspected prior to pouring concrete. 

When apply for a building sign, please include two sets of drawings and/or photos with address, size, material, how it is attached to the building, site plan, total cost, contractor’s name and phone number. 

A registered master electrician with an electrical contractors license and a permit is required for electrical hookups to signs.
