The City Secretary is appointed by the City Council as required by the City Charter. The City Secretary's office serves as the information and research assistance to the public and city staff.
The City Secretary coordinates preparation of Council agendas and the official minutes, prepares legal notices relating to Council agendas and other city issues for publication and posting.
This office performs the following services:
Serves as custodian for the official city records (i.e. agendas, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions)
Responsible for the city's records management program, including maintenance of records retention schedules for all departments
- Maintains membership records of all City Boards and Commissions
Handles permitting for alcoholic beverage sales
