Welcome to the City of Andrews' website. The site is designed to provide citizens with up-to-date news and information. We hope the city's website will help you get acquainted with the services we provide. Residents may access information about city services, obtain budget information as well as agendas and minutes of City Council meetings as well as other advisory Boards.

The Office of the City Manager provides executive leadership and direction for the effective operations of all municipal services for the City of Andrews as directed by the City Council and serves as the focal point for the management of the City staff. The City Manager has direct responsibility for the oversight and implementation of all City projects.

Glen Hackler has been City Manager for the City of Andrews since April 2001. He is part of a dynamic community leadership responsible for the development of an ambitious community reinvestment strategy.

A major focus of his attention is the upgrade and expansion of infrastructure and acquisition of long-term water rights to position the City of Andrews for future growth and development. Andrews has experienced a period of unprecedented growth leading Texas in per capita growth 4 of the last 6 years. The City of Andrews is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the entire community.

Prior to serving as City Manager, Glen was employed with the City of Midland as Deputy and Assistant City Manager for nearly 8 years where he provided the management oversight for the construction of the $35M Midland International Airport terminal. Glen also served the cities of Lubbock and Pampa for 5 years including 3-1/2 years as City Manager of Pampa. In addition, he also worked in the private sector for 6 years as resident Director of University Plaza, a private residence hall, in Lubbock.

Glen received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Major: Management, Minor: Political Science) in 1983 and Master of Public Administration and Doctor of Jurisprudence Degrees in 1987. He is also licensed by the State Bar of Texas.
