The City of Andrews is committed to a long-term financial strategy which maintains the city's goal of efficient government (i.e., low taxes, no debt, etc.) and financial strength while balancing the desire to meet community needs. Long-term needs are met through "pay-as-you-go" fiscal policies. Depreciation is fully funded, and the City has zero indebtedness. The City also operates with a lower-than-average ratio of personnel costs to total operating expenses.
