The Andrews Police Department consists of a staff of 18 employees:
- Chief of Police
- 1 Captain
- 3 Lieutenants
- 3 Sergeants
- 7 patrol officers
- School Resource Officer
- Administrative Assistant
- Animal Control Officer
There are 3 shifts, with 4 officers assigned to each shift. Each shift has a police supervisor with officers working 8-hour shifts.
Officers are assigned to various duties with the Department, including:
- Crime Prevention
- Investigation of crimes and accidents
- Maintenance of records
Brandi Schulze, Sergeant/School Resource Officer works through an inter-local agreement between the City and Andrews ISD. Her daily appearance at the high school and middle school helps maintain peace and stability on the school grounds.
All of our officers are certified in Emergency Services as paramedics or EMT's. Some of our staff participate as members of the Regional Advisory Council under the Texas Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Management.
