Application for Employment - Police Department
The City of Andrews Department of Public Safety has one (1) position available for a public safety officer (Police-EMS). The ideal applicant would be certified as a basic officer and certified as a basic EMT or EMT-Paramedic. Applicant must have a high school diploma. GED accepted with 30 semester hours of college. Applicants must not have any criminal history that led to their arrest and detention for any offense other than traffic (Class C). Applicants must pass an extensive background check, physical and psychological exam. Applicants selected for pre-employment interviews will be required to perform a lift and carry test at the Public Safety facility.
The City of Andrews is a small but progressive community of approximately 10,000 residents. The City offers a competitive employee benefits package. Starting salary for this position ranges from $36,000 - $44,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
