Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

The Andrews Department of Public Safety is made up of 17 officers and 7 Emergency Response Personnel, including the Chief of Police. EMS provides emergency medical services for all of Andrews County serving approximately 13,500 residents. Andrews County utilizes a central-dispatch system. All 911 and emergency calls are routed through the Andrews Sheriff's Department and dispatched to the appropriate personnel. This process produces optimal performance while maintaining a minimal staff, leaving needed positions available to better serve our community.

    The Staff consists of:

  • Chief of Police: Bud Jones
  • Paramedics: Joyce Boren, Karrie Bishop, Amanda Renner, Bradley Reese, Brent VanZandt, and Austin Yocham
